Kelly Kuo, 2009 Solti Foundation Career Assistance Award winner, led the Oregon Mozart Players in their annual ‘Candlelight Baroque’ event at the First Christian Church in Eugene, Ore.
Described as an opportunity to “bask in golden candlelight and let the mental knots of the season relax,” the event featured work by Antonio Vivaldi, Johann Sebastian Bach, and his son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach.
The group performed two concerts on December 19 and 20, offering a refreshing weekend that signaled the midway point of its season.
Kuo has been with the Oregon Mozart Players for three seasons.
Kuo will take the stage again on January 31st for the group’s ‘Young Soloist Showcase.’
