Macelaru brings Tchaikovsky to the Philadelphia stage

In late January, Cristian Macelaru (2014, Solti Conducting Fellow), took the podium in Philadelphia to bring to life two works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

The Philadelphia Orchestra’s shared a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Valse-scherzo, with David Kim on solo violin.

Philadelphia public radio station WRTI took some time to talk to Kim about his experiences at the 1986 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.
